I just grabbed the Nikon D90, and I'm loving the high ISO performance. It beats the more expensive Canon 50D by a large margin.

However, I'm jealous of the 5D's video capabilities. The D90 has some annoying limitations. =P

Waiting for a D3 sensor Nikon that has the self-cleaning sensor and video capabilities. D800?

@Debbi

re: 24-105 f/4L IS

If you have the 24-70 and have been using it on a 1.6x body (30D, 40D, etc.), you will lose the reach when you go to a full-frame body. Your 70mm will be a true 70 rather than the effective 110-ish you're getting now with the sensor crop. So if you like the reach you're getting with the 24-70, you will want the 24-105 on the 5DmkII.

With this being said, the 24-70 is a great lens though. I'd actually like to have one for the narrower depth of field.

I hear you with the battery grip. I started with a Nikon F4 back in my film days, and even though it's still not nearly as big as the new digi-SLRs it's still much bulkier with the extra battery pack on the bottom. I can't shoot without them now ... it just doesn't feel right. :)

Thanks SO much!! I'm looking forward to more comments on it!

How long have you had that 24-105L is? I mainly use my 24-70L for portraits, but have considered getting the 24-205 is with the new 5D ll. Do you think it's worth it?
Debbi
