Remember When?
Can you remember gas for under a buck a gallon?
I was digging through a shoebox of old photos looking for one of me with a mullet to show my daughter (that’s another story), and I came across this one. Think about it – I could fill up my Saab for around $15.

Makes me a little sick to my stomach thinking what we are paying now.
It does bring up some fond memories though, scrounging through the back seat and asking friends to chip in…all to come up with a few bucks, which was enough to cruise around for the night.

I don’t know about everyone else, but I think the mullet photo should certainly make an appearance on LeggNet…

That is ridiculously cheap. When was that that? In 2000 a gallon of regular would cost in Germany around 4.70$, now it’s around 9.2$. Beat that :D

In 1995, I could top off my motorcycle (usually about 4 gallons) AND get dinner with a small drink at Taco Bell with no more than $5.

I remember when it was less than .99 a gallon. In fact, I remember the brouhaha when it went over a dollar. Boy, what I’d give to be able to buy gas for under a buck!
