To you it may seem as just "a shot of a dead flower". To others, like myself, a picture says a lot. A picture sets you back in time and places you at the scene. Photographs are a lot more than just "a shot". Photographs have meaning and can be explained in many ways. You might see a photograph and think totally different than the person standing next to you looking at the same photograph. I think these comment boxes are awesome and a great way to understand each way everyone sees it. It's also a great photograph, keep up the good work. Leggnet, that is understandable. We seem dry and no longer useful so we are cast aside by others who miss the fact that within us we have the seeds that can produce new life. What is beauty anyways and who makes the standard that we have to live by. Are we no longer vital and vibrant when we have wrinkled skin, sagging breasts, arms, and buttocks. Are we too to be cast aside because our hair has receded and grayed? Shall the wisdom held beneath those shiny domes or graying locks also be lost without being planted in others bringing new life and vibrancy. Is life represented in the outer trappings or by the potential that is hidden within? So I ask again---what is really beauty? If it is the measured by the external then it is truly fleeting; bursting on the scene in a blaze of glory and then gone as quickly as it appeared. But if it beauty is found within then it is not fleeting. It grows and matures and gives life and beauty to others.
