At the park
I haven’t featured any photos of my children for awhile, so I thought I would share this recent one made at a local park.
What draws me to this capture is her eyes and how they are looking so clearly at the camera. Elisabeth photographs very well, but seldom has a cheesy “take my picture” grin.

No…Sarah is definitely the more cheesy “take my picture” one

Do your kids ever get tired of you snapping their photos all the time? Most kids want to cheese it up or don’t want it at all. Your kids just seem to say, “Okay dad, if you must.”

I like how her name is spelled the German way. :) She’s a beautiful child and from seeing her photo, I believe she is a child who thinks.

I love this way of looking in childrens portraits, so serious and knowing.
Light and DOF are excellent.

You are very good at capturing the moment There is nothing common about this photo.
It is stunning.

Wow.
She radiates such a strong sense of personhood — good job growing kids, you Dad, you!
Nice pic, and can’t imagine why you think this is common…sure seems uncommonly fine to me.
